Laborant SARS CoV-2 RT-qPCR Kit is designed for  specific identification and differentiation of 2019-nCoV virus (SARS-CoV-2) from samples taken from patients with signs and symptoms of COVID-19 infection. This test is designed to be used as an aid in the diagnosis of SARSCoV-2 in conjunction with clinical and epidemiological risk factors. RNA is extracted from respiratory samples, amplified by using RT-PCR and detected by using SARS-CoV-2 specific fluorescent reporter dye probes. Detection is done in a one-step format in which reverse transcription and amplification of the specific target sequence occur in the same reaction well. The isolated RNA target is replicated by reverse transcriptase creating complementary DNA, followed by amplification of the conserved regions of the human RNase P gene (Internal Control), ORF1ab, N and E gene regions of the 2019-nCoV virus using specific primers and fluorescently labeled probe. Test results in about 34 minutes only.

Component : Laborant SARS CoV-2 RT-qPCR Kit contains in each well all necessary for RT-PCR test in a stabilized format (specific primers / probes, dNTPs, buffer solution, polymerase reverse transcriptase and internal controls)

Compatible Systems : Validated for 10 μL and 20 μL qPCR reaction volumes on Himedia Insta Q96TM, Bio-Rad CFX96 TouchTM, Qiagen Rotor- Gene® 5 Plex and Applied Biosystems QuantStudioTM 5 Real-Time PCR systems.

Study Material : Works with nucleic acid isolates obtained from nasopharyngeal aspirate / lavage, bronchoalveolar lavage, nasopharyngeal swab, oropharyngeal swab and sputum samples.

Extraction Method : The material is directly transferred to the SI-NAT (cat # SI-NAT-100) Extraction tube which is already in the package, and then moved to the RT-PCR testing stage without the need for any additional extraction
